Frome beat St. James, fans whisked to the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station

Players, students and teachers of St. James High School had to be whisked to the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station after the Coaster bus carrying students and teachers was damaged by students wearing Frome Technical High School uniforms as they tried to leave the Frome Sports Complex after their Interzone match.

The police officers who were standing at the entrance to the field had to rush over to the stand area as the students from Frome Technical threw stones and bottles at the students and teachers from St. James High School.


Striker Allan Ottey of St. James High missed two close opportunities in the 9th and 11th minutes, the team was made to pay as goalkeeper Everette Nunes after having the ball in his hands allowed it to roll through his legs while lying on the ground Davian Palmer then booted the ball into the back of the net to give Frome the lead. Hugar Hall made it 2-0 to the home team in the 44th minute but Nicolie Barrett pulled a scorcher back in the b45th minute for the visitors on the stroke of half time. Hall was able to double in the 48th minute beating Nunes at his near post for the 3-1 lead, Ottey combined with Barrett from a counter attack to score in the 82nd minute.

In the first match of the double header at Frome Sports Complex Godfrey Stewart was held to a nil all score line by Cedric Titus of Trelawny.

Rosario Harriott grabbed a brace for Dinthill to defeat Annotto Bay4-0 while Lacovia trounce Clarendon College.
